Gerry Organ
Gerry graduated from the University of Guelph in 1971 and played professional football in Ottawa until 1983. In 1973 and 1976 he played on Grey Cup Championship teams. He became a Christian in 1973 and helped to found the ministry of Athletes in Action. In 1976 Gerry co-founded and managed the Ottawa Athletic Club. He then became part owner of a manufacturing company before moving back to Guelph in 1985 as a Family Therapist, having completed a Master’s Degree at the University of Ottawa.
He has served as a Regional Director for Focus on the Family, as an Associate Pastor at The Peoples Church in Toronto and as a Board member of several ministries.
For ten years he held the position of Executive Director of CBMC, a discipleship ministry to business and professional leaders.
In March of 2007, Gerry joined the leadership team of One Way Ministries in Ottawa. His purpose is to honour the Lord by being fully engaged in Kingdom work.
He has been married to his wife Lore for 48 years. Their two married children, James (married to Kristin) and Leah (married to Stephen) have blessed them with 5 incredible grandchildren. He resides in Orleans, Ontario.
